Our Ocean Flora Vagina pH Test Strips can help you decide whether or not you might need medical treatment.
However, you should understand that an at-home test will not help diagnose HIV, chlamydia, herpes, gonorrhea, syphilis or group B streptococcus.
Frequently, when women experience unusual vaginal symptoms, the first thing that comes to mind is vaginal yeast infections. If you experience vaginal symptoms that you think might indicate a vaginal yeast infection, this test can help you rule out other types of infections.
Do not use Ocean Flora Vaginal pH Test strips if:
- You are pregnant or believe that you can be pregnant You are on your menstrual cycle
- you are undergoing hormonal therapy
- You are a diabetic
- If you have had intercourse, used a vaginal douch, used a bathtub or taken any kind of medications or drugs WAIT 24 hours before using the Ocean Flora Vaginal pH Test strips.
How to perform a Vaginal PH swab
- Wash your hands
- remove the pH swab from the package by it's handle.
- Do not allow the pH paper to come into contact with anything
- Take the Q-tip and hold between your thumb and forefinger
- Spread your labia with your free hand
- Insert the Q-tip gently swab your vagina
- Hold for 5 seconds
- Remove the Q-tip swab
- Rub Q-tip on test strip
- Wait 30 seconds, then check color coded card with the color of the test strip
